October 15, 2016 – World Food Day

Category : News , Our Blog

On October 15, 2016 volunteers from the Prince George branch of UNAC had a booth set up at the Prince George Farmers Market to promote UNAC in the city of Prince George as well as to educate and promote World Food Day.

“One of the biggest issues related to climate change is food security. The world’s poorest – many of whom are farmers, fishers and pastoralists – are being hit hardest by higher temperatures and an increasing frequency in weather-related disasters…This is why our global message for World Food Day 2016 is “Climate is changing. Food and agriculture must too.” (FAO 2016)
